This Working Paper examines how the Queensland Government can best encourage householders to take up opportunities to achieve early and affordable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. The Paper includes information on energy use and emissions generation from Queensland households, examines the impact of specific changes in household behaviour on emissions levels, and canvasses evidence about the effectiveness of various strategies in achieving behaviour change.
The Paper has informed the development of the Queensland Government’s ClimateSmart Living phase 2 campaign.
