ClimateSmart Adaptation 2007-12
ClimateSmart Adaptation 2007–12 (PDF, 661KB)* is Queensland’s plan for increasing our resilience to the potential impacts of climate change. Under the plan, government and business are required to consider the potential effects of climate change when they make decisions about:
- water planning and services
- agriculture
- human settlement
- natural environment and landscape
- emergency services and human health
- tourism, business and industry
- finance and insurance.
Review of Queensland Government climate change strategy
The Queensland Government is reviewing, updating and consolidating its current ClimateSmart 2050: Queensland climate change strategy 2007 and Queensland’s ClimateSmart Adaptation 2007-12: an action plan for managing the impacts of climate change in light of the latest scientific assessments as well as national and international developments in climate change and climate change policy.
An Issues Paper – Review of the Queensland Government climate change strategy was released in October for public consultation. The public consultation period has now closed.
