EVs in the Community
Driving Change: Queensland’s Electric Vehicle Policy (PDF, 913K)* includes a range of initiatives to prepare Queensland for the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs). One of those initiatives is the EVs in the community program, which allows community groups and charitable organisations to trial the use of electric vehicles in their operations by borrowing one of the Queensland Government’s electric vehicles for up to three months.
Formal expressions of interest to participate in the program will be sought until 31 March 2012. Interested organisation should complete the online application form. The length of time the EV will be allocated to each successful applicant will be determined by a number of factors, including the level of interest in the program.
Once you have completed and submitted the online application form a representative from the Office of Climate Change will contact you within 14 days to notify you of the outcome of your submission or to request further details.
For further information about the EVs in the community project, email occ.communications@derm.qld.gov.au or phone 13 QGov (13 7468).
